So Happy I Could Fly

!HOOLLAAAA¡

This week I was able to witness a miracle! Something that dad has told me a few times on my mission is that missionaries are at the front lines and it's true!  I get to see many things as a missionary and I'm grateful for this time to learn and grow.

This week I could see the Hand of God in the life of someone I love.

Remember Sandra? Sandra got baptized about 2 months ago and she is doing great! She in now a ward missionary and helps us visit people and she is the best!:) and this Sunday she bore her testimony in testimony meeting:) The miracle that I could be apart of starts with her. Earlier last week she told me that her older sister had been diagnosed with breast cancer and they were going to operate. This is the same cancer that killed Sandra's mom a year ago. When Sandra told me I didn't know what to do or what to say... how hard is that to have your mom pass away from cancer and then your older sister gets diagnosed? HARD!!!! but something that came to my mind was to tell her about fasting. We told her that she could fast and pray with all the strength in her heart for her sister and if it was the will of God he can help her.

So Sandra being a woman of faith did just that. We all went out to eat last Monday and Sandra did tell us this then but right after she started her fast for her sister, putting her problems in the hands of God she did her first fast. Then she called her sister in Columbia to see how she was doing and her sister told Sandra that the doctors did one last test before operating and the tumor wasn't there anymore, the cancer had left and she was free! God had worked a miracle. With the faith of my cute little Sandra she could show God that she was ready to have him do his work and he worked a miracle!! Fasting and prayers have power when we have the faith and humility that it requires!

I really am at the front lines here! but the miracle doesn't end here. Sandra called the stake president of the area where her sister lives in Columbia and asked if they could send the missionaries to her sister's house, and the stake president said, SI! Sandra s sister will be receiving missionaries:)  I've never really felt this happy before. The mission is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but I've also never felt so happy that I could fly before.

hey don't put people in the ground like we do.
They make little houses and they are sweet!! Here in Argentina there is a lot of Italian influence and everything is really artsy! Sometimes the doors to the little houses were open and we could see the coffins! Hashtag preaching in the spirit world. :) I love Argentina!

Glamour Girl

!Hola¡
Hey family!! Happy 4th of July!! I have to confess something... I totally forgot that it was the 4th of July so I didn't do anything that day:( but I did wear my United States of America sweatshirt to bed because it's SOOOOO COLD here!! Last night I went to be with tights socks and leggings a long sleeved shirt, my America sweater and my comps hoodie and I have 2 blankets! So cold! and we have a heater but only half of it works haha. It's funny tho cause I read Spencer's email and he is talking about how hot it is!! Hey Bro, Wanna trade?
So I owe you guys a funny story cause last week we got cut short on time. First off for this story you all have to know that my comp is a legit nurse. So we were in a lesson with an old lady and she's really Catholic and cute:) So we were teaching her when she brings out of no where that her toe nails are really long and that she needs to go get them cut. So we offer to help her cut her toe nails! :/ haha Oh Boy. So she gets all super excited that we are going to help her and she sits down and takes off her shoes and socks and there she is with her feet... I couldn't help but flash back to when I had 5 months in the mission and I had to massage a ladies feet cause I didn't know what the word "pie" (foot) meant... haha. But my comp being the nurse started to cut her toe nails and her nails were really tough so when my comp clipped one, the nail would go flying through the air like a rocket! I thought my comp would lose her eye! But the nails were flying all over the place and when my comp finished one foot the cute old lady told me to paint her toes red:) So I did. We finished her feet all nice and clean and she asked us to do the same to her finger nails. So we cut and painted them.... then she told us that her eyebrows were really hairy so we had to pluck them too! Once she was satisfied and glamorous, she let us go:) It was a pretty funny day:) She didn't really listen to our message but we did soften her heart a little:) I don't know what it is with me and investigators feet...
The other day I learned a really cool concept that I wanted to share with you guys. Someone was talking about miracles and how we always think that miracles should be something big like Moses and the Red Sea or something but really a miracle is when you can feel your personal relationship with God grow. A miracle is when our testimonies are strengthen and we are a little stronger then before. Have you experienced a miracle lately?
