South America. It's like America..only South! :)

LOTS of love from me to you right now!! ready hold still!....... LOVE YOU ALLLLLLLLL!!!

So last pday was a little crazy! we went up to sancristoba or something to meet with our district. and after our meeting we went to a random field on a little adventure and we were walking around taking pictures and then we found a open area where we played soccer! of course i was wearing my argentina jersey so you better believe that i was the best player! you can call me messi... hehe jk i wasn't good. and while we were playing we hear a moooooooo and then all these cows come around us and i was really scared but my comp she was like "we can take um. then we can eat hamburgers for dinner" shes awesome! so we played soccer with cows this week. not everyone gets to do that!! and then the sun set and the sun sets here are absolutely gorgeous there are no mountains so when it sets the whole world goes pink and orange and purple and blue. oh its lovely.

So missionary work is hard people! but its the BOMB! But everyone here is catholic so its hard sometimes to get in the door but everyone is really nice and very open about everything in there lives so we normally can persuade them just a little to listen to us! but one day was really hard all our lessons fell through and no one was home. we were sad so we bought chocolate. chocolate makes you HAPPY! so once we were all happy and cheery again we were walking down the street ready to start contacting again when we felt like we should knock on this door and the lady let us in! AHH!! and her house is amazing! (some houses here are so nice that i feel like im in america again and then other houses are not so nice that i remember that im in argentina) anyways she sits us down and gives us cookies ... mmm cookies!  and we talk with her whole fam about the gospel! oh they are a miracle!!  it was such a hard day and sometimes you just gotta have persistence and faith that the lord knows what he is doing!!

and right now we have 3 miracle families that we are teaching!! pray for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this week we had a record of 17 people at church. WE NEED MORE!!!
So funny story of the week. we were in a lesson (with a member might i add!) and this lady is awesome! she loves reading the bible and she totally believes in god but she was willing to talk with us. and she was really interested in our message! and in my head im like, hey she loves reading lets give her a Book of mormon! so i pulled out the book and as i was handing it to her i told her to read a certain verse and then pray and ask god if this is the true church. Now first off you have to know that the people here they don't have personal bubbles like us americans. argentines are great! anyways she was so beyond happy that she stands up and gives me the biggest kiss/kisses on the cheek that i have ever had in my life! It was so cute but at the same time i was just stunned after that thinking what happened!

Im doing great! learning lots everyday! i love argentina i love the people i love this gospel and i love all of you!

AND IIIIIIIII WIIIILLLLL ALLWAYS LOOOVEEE YOOOUUUU (name that song)

Love hermana nelson

Let me take you to Rio, Rio. Fly'o the ocean like an eagle...

Hello from wayyyyy down here in argen!!
Lets get to know more about argentina shall we?
Well first off everyone greets each other with a kiss on the cheek. haha you bet that my first one was really awkward cause i had no idea what was happening but now im pro! second the food here is absolutely lovely!! they eat lots of meat meat meat meat meat meat and mash potatoes and noodles and salad. the salad is actually really good its just like the ones you make mom but instead of dressing they just use oil and salt. try it!! its yummy!! and oh the sweets.... mmmm i love them and here the big meal is lunch so you need to eat more than one plate if you are eating with  a member!! SO MUCH FOOD! its all good tho! and then because the lunch is so big everyone takes a siesta after. so from 12  to 3 everyone closes the stores and goes home from work and takes a nap. i think we should adopt this in america. but really no one is out during those hours. and they don't really have dinner here because lunch is so big! but if they do its at 9pm! this place is awesome. Also i have seen 3837584934857 dogs in 6 days! they are all over and the people here drive cars like i play mario cart:) its awesome. they don't really have lines on  the road so you just pick a spot on the road and change when ever you so desire. hah also everyone has motor cycles. everyone. im so buying myself one when i come home!! anyways that's argentina. the people are amazing and so nice!

So sunchales is great but its been open for missionaries for about 4 months, but the work is good! i walk everywhere. and the spanish. hehe... oh the spanish. its great and i cant wait till i can speak it but when im in a lesson with my comp they talk like 200 miles an hour and i cant understand anything! ok well this is how i feel. i feel like im in a mist and i can understand the concept of what they are talking about and stuff but the details are hard to see cause im in mist! that's how i feel, and because of that when im in a lesson i have to look at my comps face every few seconds so i can copy her face so i don't look like a deer in the head lights. if she laughs i laugh if she looks sad i look sad if she has a shocked face i have a shocked face. I think im doing a pretty good job at acting like i know whats going on cause then they will talk to me and ask me a question and my cover is blown but its great! im getting a little better at understanding every day so its all good!
This is going to sound so cheesy but its really how i feel. When i came here and saw the land and met the people i felt like i found my heart! but this week when we were teaching a lesson to a really great lady and her aunt and they committed to baptism and in that lesson i did say things and bore my testimony the spirit was sooooo strong.  i loved it so much and after that lesson is when i really found my heart. i love this!! i testify that when a person gives their life over to the lord he will deepen their joys!
I LOVE ARGENTINA!!!

Leon's Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Today Tessea's Dad "accidentally" ran into her at her gate inside the Salt Lake City airport. She is enroute from the Provo MTC to Argentina and her dad works at the airport. What a treat for them both. Her dad made his famous chocolate chip oatmeal cookies the night before and divided them into 8 bags. He also assembled 8 individual bags of gorpe. Guess how many missionaries happend to be with Tessea! 8!
Leon says she looks really really happy.
[She is going to KILL her mom for posting this picture when she gets back and checks out this blog!]

Leon's Famous Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
1 1/2 cups butter
3/4 cup brown sugar (or just 1 cup)
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 cups oats
1 cup chocolate chips

Bake at 375 for 8-9 minutes.

PS Yesterday was the World Cup between Germany, where Tessea's brother is serving, and Argentina, where Tessea is headed. So it was both a win and a loss for our family. :)

Holy Smokes! Where did the time Go!

Well this is my last pday in the good ole mtc! holy smokes where did the time go! i feel like i just got here yet at the same time i feel like ive lived here for my whole life!! Im so excited to go to argentina!!! and one story this week will help you understand how much excitement i have in my soul!!

So there is a thing here at the MTC called TRC and its where we teach real people in spanish! And last week and this week we got to skype people!! last week we got to skype a lady from mexico and we taught her a little message and this week guess what!.... we taught someone from ARGENTINA!!!!!!!! oh my goodness oh my goodness she was the cutest thing ever and the spanish... oh her spanish... it was b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l. and i could acutally understand a lot of what she said!! no eye twitch people!! no eye twitch!!.it was the greatest experience ever and i could feel the love that god had for here while we were teaching it was a really cool experience:) that is why my soul is bursting with excitement. i know the lessons in argentina will be different because we will be finding them and they wont just be waiting for us on skype but im excited. i am also nervous and everyother emotion you could think of but i know that god will be with me cause he has been with me this whole time already.

So this week was great!! i got my flight plans and that was just like christmas!! i couldn't stop looking at them for ever!!

So funny story time!! YAY! So we have basically learned all there is to know about spanish grammer now and we should be pro by now;) jk im no where near pro. but its great! and the point of me telling you this is to tell you that we still have moments in lessons where we don't know what we are saying and now im at the point where i don't know english or spanish im just sitting there stoned faced trying to find some palabras (words) to say. haha its awkward. once my comp looked at me to see if i had anything to add and i was just like...... um..... so she kept talking. phew. anyways! so once we were teaching our investigator about church and she has 3 kids around the age of 13 and they are all boys and we told her that her boys would go to "mujeres jovenes" hahaha (young womens) and it took us a minuets to realize what we said then me and my comp where like NO! haha it was good we all laughed together so it was good:) I sure love the MTC. its hard yes but its also great!

one of our speakers this week told us a phrase that helped him on his mission "how much do you love the lord?" and i just think that is the best phrase! the more you think about it the more profound it gets! and this week as i was thinking about argentina and how excited and scared i am i thought "greater things are ahead then we ever leave behind" but with this we all have to realize that there is a trick. we all need to realize that in order to find the things ahead we need to get off our bum and start walking and working! I have learned MUCH here at the mtc but the thing im most grateful for is how my relationship with my heavenly father has grown. i have spent more time on my knees here than i ever have in my life!! i know everything has a purpose and im grateful for the humbling experiences that i have had that have brought me closer to Him. I know argentina is going to be hard and i defiantly need him by my side to do his work. I know this church is the only true church and that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father live!!! im so grateful for you all and please pray for me this week!!

I LOVE YOU ALL SOOOOOOO MUCH!!

Light off some fireworks!!

July 3, 2014
So our president was teaching us about the circle of concern and the circle of influence this week. and ill try to teach you the best i can over email, but with out my amazing hand motions and voice it wont be nearly as entertaining:) So you have two circles. there is a big one and a littler one inside the big one. the one in the middle is your circle of influence and the big one is your circle of concern. When you focus on the things in your circle of concern your circle of influence shrinks and when you focus on the things inside the circle of influence it grows!! SO moral of the story! if you want to be good at life! only focus on the things that you can actually change or influence:)

Also crazy story! so this week during one of the devotionals there was a bat flying around in the room!! A REAL LIFE BAT!!! and it was just flying around having the time of its life and everyone was screaming and the bat was diving around scaring the daylights out of people and i was just watching that thing like a hawk and then it flies right towards me and i catch it with my bear hands!! jaja got cha:) ok that didn't happen but there really was a bat flying around in the MTC but they caught it. it was loco.

We should get our travel plans tomorrow everyone!! holy smokes! and ill be a one month missionary tomorrow and we are all going to have a party! mom if you could call everyone and tell them to have a party and i don't know maybe invite Carrie Underwood to come sing somewhere in provo that would be great! and maybe light off some fire works for me as well i would love that!!! but really tho they are going to let us watch the fireworks tomorrow and im so flippen excited!!
